Colorado's 14ers
The Quest has begun! Colorado has 54 mountain peaks over 14,000ft high.
Kinda ominous? abominable? Abominable Shadowmen do exist, untracked by the masses (or the CIA). But you can track them up Quandry peak.

Bierstadt or should I say Bushwack Mountain.

Some statistics on Colorado's Fourteeners. Also available in Excel 5.0 (Macintosh) format. Windows '95 or later versions of Excel should have no problem converting this file to a native format.
In an effort to keep anyone who sees this page informed, and in the interest of preserving these wonders for future generations, I've included the following info.
The Colorado Fourteeners Initiative is sponsored by the American Mountain Foundation,
Colorado Mountain Club, Colorado Outward Bound School, Leave No Trace and Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado. The major goals of the Colorado Fourteeners Initiative are:
- Construct sustainable summit trails and restore damaged areas.
- Educate hikers and climbers in minimizing vistor impacts and Leave No Trace ethics.
- Work with land managers and other organizations to preserve and protect mountain ecosystems.
- Provide volunteer opportunities for restoration and trail construction work.
